Common & Proper Nouns
In our first English Grammar lesson we spoke about common and proper nouns. Below you'll find the fun video I showed you today in class.
REMEMBER: Common Nouns are general names of people, places and things. Ex: boy, school, book.
Proper Nouns are specific names of people, places and things. They also start with a Capital letter. Ex: Adam (the name of the boy), Mariam Al Batool School (the name of the school) and Harry Potter (the name of the book).

Please note that the fun educational games we played in class about common and proper nouns are under the Games Section. Enjoy!!!

Material uploaded
Hello all,
I am uploading two videos we saw this week in class. One video is about the Romans which we used whilst doing the Reading Comprehension and the other one is about the Solar System which you used during Science lessons. This video is also ideal for today's Social Studies lesson about the planets in the solar system.
Apart from the videos I also uploaded some game sites which you can play. These games are about Symmetry.
Enjoy :)

An Outing to the National Aquarium
On Thursday 6th February, our class together with the Yrs 5 and 6 and Foundation classes went to the National Aquarium. We saw many fish in the aquariums. We learnt that all the fish in the aquariums came from the Maltese sea. Interesting! After the aquarium we went to Kennedy Grove! It was such a lovely day! These are the pictures I took to remember this day.

The Present Continuous
Following today's lesson this is the video I showed you in class. In the games section you will also find some games and tasks related with today's lesson. Remember that the present continuous is formed like this:
Ex: I am watching.
Also remember that verbs with one syllable which end with a consonant and has 1 vowel in front of the consonant, the consonant doubles itself.
Ex: run - running, dig - digging, hit - hitting
Verbs which has one syllable and end with a vowel but has 1 consonant in front of the vowel, that vowel is taken away.
Ex: take - taking, give - giving, wave - waving

the helping verb 'to be' + verb + ing
